Unravelling the mechanisms of genomic processes at the single-molecule level

Our goal is to obtain a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms that underpin essential genomic processes. A key focus of our research is on understanding how changes in DNA structure can regulate genome function, and how DNA-protein interactions can drive changes in genome architecture. To achieve this, we use a multi-disciplinary approach that combines novel single-molecule strategies (based on techniques such as optical tweezers and fluorescence imaging) with biochemistry.
